About Us

The Young Hearts Medical Foundation is a non-profit organization that works with upstate New York hospitals to provide children in hospitals with toys and games, helps pay their medical bills, and overall do whatever we can to follow our mission statement: to bring joy and comfort to pediatric patients.

Meet the Team

Co-founder

Emily Hosey

I am a sophomore at Pittsford Mendon High School, and when I'm not too busy with school, some of my favorite activities include reading, running on my school's track and cross-country teams, and hanging out with my friends. My goal is to make as big a positive impact on as many people as I can, and Young Hearts Medical Foundation is my way of trying to do that.

Co-founder

Ashalina Khan

I am a sophmore at Pittsford Mendon High School. While I'm not at one of my many school clubs, I play JV tennis, read, and volunteer at Unity Hospital. As a student who is very interested in going into the medical field, I hope to make a positive impact on as many families as I can.

Elizabeth Shoemaker

Co-Founder

I am a sophmore at Pittsford Mendon High School. Aside from track and tennis, my hobbies include doing pencil illustrations, reading, volunteering, and hanging out with my friends. As someone that's lucky enough to live in Pittsford, NY, I feel it's my job to give back to the community. The Young Hearts Medical Foundation is one way I try to do that.

We believe in bringing joy and comfort to pediatric patients, one kid at a time.
